چکیده
Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a complex disease, which affects many organs besides the pancreas such as liver, brain, eye, stomach, and kidney. Purpose: The current study aimed to evaluate role of nitric oxide in prevention diabetic nephropathy females after menopause. Methods: Our was carried out on 90 males with T2DM aged over 45 years, randomly selected from outpatient clinic National Institute for Diabetes Endocrinology (NIDE). patients were divided into 3 subgroups; subgroup 1: without any complications, 2: complications (DN), 3: cardiovascular compactions (CVD). Results: Result showed that dyslipidemia oxidative stress more pronounced rather than male. While, kidney function markers worse male female. Conclusion: shows are susceptible disease due depletion estrogen postmenopausal women, causing stress. On other hand, decrease level, considered protective factor.

Role of nitric oxide in diabetic nephropathy.
Diabetic nephropathy is the leading cause of end-stage renal disease in the Western hemisphere. Endothelial dysfunction is the central pathophysiologic denominator for all cardiovascular complications of diabetes including nephropathy. Abnormalities of nitric oxide (NO) production modulate renal structure and function in diabetes but, despite the vast literature, major gaps exist in our underst...
متن کاملRole of Nitric Oxide in the Pathogenesis of Diabetic Nephropathy in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats
OBJECTIVES Several reports suggest that enhanced generation or actions of nitric oxide (NO) have been implicated in the pathogenesis of glomerular hyperfiltration and hyperperfusion that occurs in early diabetes. However, the precise role of altered NO generation in the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy is unclear. The present study was aimed at investigating the role of nitric oxide in the ...
متن کاملRole of Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase in Diabetic Nephropathy: Lessons from Diabetic eNOS Knockout Mice
Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is the leading cause of end-stage renal disease in many countries. The animal models that recapitulate human DN undoubtedly facilitate our understanding of this disease and promote the development of new diagnostic markers and therapeutic interventions. Based on the clinical evidence showing the association of eNOS dysfunction with advanced DN, we and others have creat...
متن کاملNitric oxide system and diabetic nephropathy
About 30% of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus develop clinically overt nephropathy. Hyperglycemia is necessary, but not sufficient, to cause the renal damage that leads to kidney failure. Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a multifactorial disorder that results from interaction between environmental and genetic factors. In the present article we will review the role of the nitric oxide synthase...
متن کاملThe role of sirolimus in proteinuria in diabetic nephropathy rats
Objective(s): The aim of this study was to observe the impact of sirolimus on proteinuria in streptozotocin (STZ) induced diabetic rats. Materials and Methods: Rats were given a single injection of STZ to induce diabetic rat model. Rats’ 24 hr urine was collected to test, urinary and the kidney tissues were harvested at the 8th and 20th weeks, respectively. Podocyte morphological changes were e...
